The 34th Annual Pride Concert®

with two performances on one evening!

This rousing musical celebration of pride will feature the world premiere of a major new choral work Harvey Milk: A Cantata by composer Jack Curtis Dubowsky. The Pride Concert will also present special guests including the Golden Gate Men’s Chorus, Oakland-East Bay Gay Men’s Chorus, San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus Lollipop Guild, and Voices Lesbian Choral Ensemble.

The evening begins at 6:15 pm with a FREE pre-concert talk about Harvey Milk: A Cantata. Joining the composer to discuss the commission will be Susan Goldstein, San Francisco City Archivist, who guided LGCSF Artistic Director William Sauerland to Milk’s original speeches and letters that now form the text of the cantata. Harvey Milk: A Cantata will be performed by the Lesbian/Gay Chorus of San Francisco and the choirs of Lick-Wilmerding High School.

Performances are at 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm on June 22, 2012 at the
San Francisco Conservatory of Music, 50 Oak Street, SF, CA 94102.

The 7:00 pm show will include:

The 9:00 pm show will include:
